PRJKT-3: LANCER

PRJKT-3 LANCER is a simple robotic arm aimed to mimic the design of industrial arms while maintaining the use of simple parts. It has 3 degrees of freedom, with a gripper on the end.

The code and circuitry of LANCER is similar to RANGER, but it has a heavier focus on CAD. Prior knowledge with software such as Blender or Fusion 360 is recommended to ensure a successful product.

PRJKT-3 is intended to be the most convoluted and challenging project thus far, aimed at skilled builders.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

ARDUINO UNO BOARD

The simpler Arduino Uno along with rotary encoders are used to control the robotic arm in an intuitive yet precise way.

MG90 SERVOS AND HORNS

Servos control the various joints on the arm. MG90s are strongly encouraged for this project, as they have more torque and power than SG90s.

3D PRINTER AND CAD SOFTWARE

All parts are provided in the form of .stl files, so access to a 3D printer is required to bring these models to life. Knowing your way around CAD will also be useful.
